Japanese investment companyMetaplanet has intensified its Bitcoin accumulation strategy by issuing $21 million in zero-interest bonds to Cayman Islands-based Evo Fund, just one day after closing a separate $50 million funding round.
The 17th series of bonds was issued on May 29 with a face value of $525,000 each and will mature on November 28, 2025. The zero-coupon structure allows Metaplanet to raise capital without incurring interest obligations. Bonds may be redeemed early with a five-day notice, in full or in multiples of $525,000.
The offering has no collateral, guarantor, or bond administrator, as allowed under Japanese corporate law. All payment handling is designated through Metaplanet’s Tokyo office.
